Thousands of men and women in Kaduna state joined protesters from other states across the country in a massive demonstration against bad governance, fueled by corruption and nepotism.
Our correspondent in Kaduna reported that youths carried placards with various inscriptions, some calling for President Bola Tinubu to resign, while others demanded an end to bad governance.
The protest resulted in the closure of the Kaduna central market and all other major markets in the state, bringing economic activities to a standstill.
Banking and financial institutions also shut down.
According to The Triumph correspondent, aggrieved youths vandalized government offices, including KADIPA and KASTLEA, and damaged some major roundabouts.
The state government has declared a curfew as the situation remains tense, with the state at a standstill.
