The Sokoto State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, under the administration of Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has distributed cattle to male and female youth associations across the 23 local government areas of the state as part of activities marking the Sallah celebration.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. Kamaludden Abubakar Lemi, said the gesture was aimed at improving the welfare of youths and supporting them during the festive period.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Aminu Sani, Governor Ahmed Aliyu has continued to demonstrate commitment to the well-being of youths through various empowerment programmes and initiatives designed to improve their lives and secure their future.
Hon. Lemi commended the governor for the initiative, describing him as a leader dedicated to youth development and the overall progress of the state.
In the same vein, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hajiya Hadiza Galadima, appreciated the governor for creating employment opportunities and supporting youths in different sectors to enable them become responsible and productive members of society.
The youth groups also expressed gratitude to the governor for the support and pledged their continued loyalty and support to the administration in its efforts to promote development and prosperity across the state.
The distribution ceremony was attended by Comrade Abdurrahman Umar Aliyu, Director of Youth Affairs; Aminu S. Fada Sifawa, Staff Officer; Dan Tuni Shagari, Director of Planning and Strategy; Lawali Sani, Director of Finance, Ministry of Youth Affairs; Akilu Adamu, Director of Finance, NYSC; and other senior officials of the Sokoto State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
