The Sokoto State government, led by Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, has restored electricity to Gwadabawa Local Government Area, which had been without power for years.
The electrification projects are scheduled to be extended to the other two neighbouring local government areas of Illela and Gada in Sokoto East Senatorial district.
Communities in the local government areas have witnessed power outages for many years due to the fall and damage of electricity equipment in the areas.
The government’s efforts to improve the lives of citizens in all aspects led to the completion of the electricity restoration project in Gwadabawa.
The Chairman of Gwadabawa Local Government, Hon. Mukhtar Bello Abdulrahman, played a crucial role in ensuring the project’s success.
The project’s completion has also led to the commencement of similar projects in other local government areas like Illela and Gada.
The people of Gwadabawa have expressed gratitude to the governor and the local government chairman for the project’s success.
The governor’s administration is praised for listening to the people’s needs and delivering on promises.
The project was handled by Samag Engineering Ltd, led by Engr. Aminu Ganda assured me that the people of Gwadabawa would have electricity within two weeks.
