A Katsina-based non-governmental organisation, Gwagware Foundation has announced a plan to launch an educational support programme for out-of-school children.
The Triumph learnt that the programme is to enrol over 1,000 children in school.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Yusuf Aliyu Musawa revealed this at a meeting with local government liaison officers, coordinators and executives of the foundation.
Musawa explained that the programme will assist the out-of-school children with educational materials.
“The programme will extend support to the parents of these children, ensuring they have the necessary resources to keep their children in school,” he said.
Musawa further announced a plan to allocate over N40 million to support orphans and other people with special needs.
According to him, 1,000 women including widows will receive training and start-up kits for various training.
He said out of the amount N5million was set aside for Youth empowerment.
