The Director General, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has urged pilgrims to exercise patience and maintain decorum while performing Hajj.
This call was made during the farewell ceremony for the second flight of the state pilgrims at the Aminu Kano International Airport.
Danbappa emphasised the importance of patience and unity among the pilgrims, highlighting that Hajj is a spiritually significant journey that requires tolerance, discipline, and cooperation.
He reminded the pilgrims that they are ambassadors of Kano State and should exhibit exemplary conduct throughout their pilgrimage.
A statement issued by Spokesman of the board, Sulaiman A. Dederi quoted the Danbappa saying that “be patient and support one another during this journey, Hajj is not only a physical journey but also a test of spiritual endurance and communal harmony. Represent Kano State with pride and dignity.”
The director general also assured the pilgrims that the board made all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and fulfilling Hajj experience.
He thanked the state government for its support and urged the pilgrims to adhere to the guidelines provided by the Hajj authorities.
The farewell ceremony was attended by Chairman Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan , Board members and management staff from the board as well as religious leaders, all of whom wished the pilgrims a safe and successful journey.
The pilgrims are being transported by Max Air, including pilgrims from 12 Local Government Areas.
