Katsina State Government has set up a nine-member Committee to investigate the remote and immediate cause of the fire incident at the governor’s office.
In a statement issued to newsmen by the Director of the Press office of the Secretary to the Government of the state, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’Adua said the inferno that occurred last Monday damaged the mini chamber attached to the governor” ‘s office.
The statement said the Committee’s term of reference includes finding out the cause of the fire incidence and the extent of the damage.
Other terms of reference include identifying lapses (if) that led to the incident and recommending ways to avert future occurrences.
The statement names members of the Committee as State Head of Service, Commissioners of Works, budget, Internal Security, Justice and Information.
The statement said representatives of the Federal Fire Service and the office of the Governor”s are members of the Committee.
