An Islamic cleric, Ustaz Auwal Abdulkarim, has urged Muslims to be kind, respectful, and supportive of their parents, describing obedience to parents as a key factor for success in life.
Speaking in an interview with our correspondent in Calabar, Ustaz Abdulkarim emphasized the importance of faithfulness in the discharge of duties and devotion to the worship of Allah.
He also advised Muslims to avoid nepotism and all forms of social vices, stressing that Islam is a religion that promotes compassion, justice, and peaceful coexistence among people regardless of religious differences.
According to him, the teachings of Islam encourage cordial relationships, mutual respect, and harmonious interactions within society.
The cleric further urged Muslims to adhere strictly to Islamic teachings and maintain good relations with one another in both religious and social affairs.
Ustaz Abdulkarim also called on Muslims to remain loyal to constituted authorities and religious leaders, noting that the fear of Allah is the foundation of success and prosperity in this world and the hereafter.
He reiterated that sincerity, obedience to parents, and adherence to the principles of Islam are essential virtues that lead to personal growth and societal development.
